    Rep Takano signs on to initiative urging the US EPA to target and investigate Bitcoin Miners. The letter uses repeatedly-disproven claims to target decentralized Proof-of-Work consensus algorithms. The letter states, "We have serious concerns regarding reports that cryptocurrency facilities across the country are polluting communities" and "A single Bitcoin transaction could power the average U.S. household for a month.", displaying a severe lack of understanding of blockchain technology and Proof-of-Work consensus.
